Mid August came quickly this year. Lindsay booked onsite hair styling services with GoodeHair, Shannon Goode in March and the year slipped away in wedding planning. Lindsay's hair trial was on May 2nd and went really well. She knew what she wanted. Her ideal plan was to wear her hair down with curls (beachy, not too curly). She wanted body and bounce but not too much. It came together beautifully and that was one more thing to mark off the to-do list.
Lindsay was very wise in choosing a wedding planner for her big day. She chose MMJ Weddings and Events Planning, Meleka Jolliff. Meleka and MMJ cruise the line of sophistication, professionalism, personalization, and attention to detail in a way that puts your mind to ease. Handing over the responsibilities of the wedding day is priceless. It allows being able to be in the moment without a worry in the world and Meleka does just that.
Lindsay is also detail oriented, and her wedding day showcased just that, the best of everything. Having everything taken care of and allowing for everything to work just perfectly was key. Lindsay's wedding party was a beautiful representation of friendship and love. They supported each other and helped where it was needed. But most of all, celebrating with each other and waking up together was priceless. I love seeing friends come together, in their own environment and atmosphere. It is one of the best parts of the day (for me).
The morning began at 9a with a finish time of 12p. On the agenda was 6 ladies who were awaiting hair styling at the Hilton, downtown Columbus (just outside the Short North). This girly girl meets classic sophistication inspired me. The beautiful bride turned heads and her girls...they definitely complimented her in every way.
Lindsay was so sweet as she sat still reading a letter from her future husband. Those personal words have their own meaning for the two who share them. So sweet. So awesome. Such a beautiful moment in time.
We worked away with the curling wand, after taking out her hot rollers (which give the best curl base for long lasting hair styles). Her long blonde hair fell into curls and waves and looked stunning.
Mother of the Bride also had gorgeous blonde hair. Her hair was right at her shoulders. We curled it and pulled back the sides. It was full of volume and was totally classy. Love it!
Five bridesmaids, all with different textures, colors and lengths, all found their own inspirations. Whether her hair was naturally beautifully curly, layered and shorter or long with lots of texture, each of the girls looked fantastic and ready for a day of celebrating.
Everything went perfect that morning as everyone was ready and inspired by pictures and each other.
The day was starting to come along and the time was coming to get this show on the road! The guests were beginning to arrive and the wedding party was dressed and ready. Before long, this future Mr. and Mrs. would be meeting at the end of the aisle, in front of the priest and their almighty maker. Exciting!
St. Joseph Cathedral, Broad Street Columbus, downtown is a most classic, elegant and stunning location for a ceremony. The pictures are always breath taking. The ceremony took place at St. Joseph and was quite beautiful.
Lindsay looked stunning in her gown that had all the perfect details. The veil she wore complimented her hair style and was easy to remove after the ceremony.
Lindsay and her wedding party's makeup was perfected by the talented Meg Morosco of Makeup Artistry by Meg. Stunning!
After the ceremony and pictures, Lindsay made sure to schedule a second appointment with GoodeHair's, Shannon Goode for a slightly different reception hair style. Earlier in the day, Lindsay wore her hair curled with texture, a deep part and pulled back slightly. Later that evening she was ready to have it pulled back a little more. We met back at the Hilton, in her room, so that she could rest a little and perfect her look one last time. While her bridesmaid helped her with her dress, Shannon polished and refined her beautiful blonde hair. Lindsay was such a gorgeous bride!
The Governor's Mansion offered a most amazing backdrop for the couple as they celebrated their love for each other.
The newly married couple would celebrate at the Hilton Ballroom with lights filling the room, the band's music sweeping them off their feet and the journey into their new lives beginning with a most beautiful and stunning party. What better way to celebrate??!
Style and Story Creative filled the room with cameras. Their work is remarkable and speaks for itself. They are a production company who works hard to "Tell a Story" through the experiences of their clients. I found this on their site and it explained them perfectly: "{Our Style} Authentic Moments + Dynamic Lighting + Artistic Leadership = Magazine Worthy Memories"
Click here to view Lindsay and John's preview film. Beautiful! Remarkable! Love it!
